Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actress and television presenter. She's best known as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her career in showbiz at a young age. She played lead roles in dramas on television as young as the age of 16. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall her character as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also highly praised. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Over the years Alexandra has been involved in a variety of important international and national productions. One of these is the British biographical movie Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon.
