Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in television and film, is most well-known for her roles in films like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At 16years old, she had landed several television roles, including the lead role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film made for TV Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially highly successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall.
